Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD)

Hand foot and mouth disease, also known as HFMD is a mild but contagious viral infection. It commonly found in young children and is generally caused by a coxsackievirus. HFMD is characterized by ulcers or sores in or around the mouth, and rash or blisters on the hands, legs, buttocks, or feet. Symptoms
May include fever and a sore throat. Painful blisters similar to cold sores can show up on the inside of the mouth or tongue.
