ANF Therapy Interview with Instructor Geoffrey Montague Smith

I thought I was making great results until I discovered ANF

Welcome to the ANF Academy.

It’s a pleasure to be here. We came to the instructor training to perfect the aspect of how we’re going to teach ANF Therapy®.

How does it feel being back here?

It’s great to come back because we have a family environment here.

Everyone is saying that ANF Academy is like a family. Can you tell me why?

It’s great to be back and be here with the founders and inventors of the technology and take my education to the next level. This education allows us to be clinically specific with our palpation and understand the therapy, not just as students, because there’s a real challenge with ANF.

And Dr. Mikel.

Right. And you know, if you have clinician experience and think you know what you need to know. You come here and quickly realize that there’s much more to learn. And Dr. Mikel is demanding of you. He will challenge you and take you to your absolute limit.

“This academy is an excellent environment for people who want to be at their very best.”

So do you believe in continuous education?

One hundred percent. If we’re not growing and expanding, and if we’re not refining our skills constantly, then we can’t provide the best service for our patients.

That’s true. What made you join ANF, and what expectations did you have?

For me, it was fate. I was in Dubai with a colleague who has progressed well with ANF. She and I flew on the red-eye flight, and we would have a full clinic that day. And she said, “Geoff, you look terrible.” And she put these mental focus devices on my optic nerve.

I thought I was okay. I would’ve got on and done the day in my usual way. But I felt a significant shift in my ability to concentrate that day. My focus was incredible.

Was that your first experience with ANF?

It was my first experience. My friend insisted that I wear these devices. And then, of course, because this is somebody I love and trust, and we work very closely together, I had to understand more about what was happening.

We work with frequency medicine anyway in our clinic. We have a long history of working with sound frequencies, EAV testing, and Bio-resonance. The exciting factor about how I came into ANF is that my family lived very close here in Spain, and I was visiting. Renata was studying with Dr. Hoff and asked where I was in Spain. It turned out that Marbella was half an hour away from where I was. So I came and had coffee with Dr. Mikel. And we talked. What was supposed to be a 10-minute coffee turned into two and a half hours of talking about frequencies. And that’s why I’m here.

Excellent. What made you become an ANF instructor?
Geoffrey Montague Smith

Well, it is the natural progression from being a student. You realize there’s a lot more to learn. You take the knowledge that you’ve acquired here back to your clinic. And then you see fast, tangible, and verifiable results.

The patients then start to get interested, and they send their friends. And then, you begin to work with the protocols and the ANF Therapy method. And when you apply the devices and see that rapid change in the physiology of the human body, if you’re thinking like a practitioner, you will want to find out more. So you come and get the following education and the next one.

And then, the instructors invite those they see as suitable candidates to take the teacher training modules, which is what I did.

What did you learn here that no other therapy or tool showed you?

We had an excellent foundation in anatomy when I was at the osteopathic school for a four-year course in osteopathic medicine. And we did dissection, which only some people get to do.

We had an outstanding education in systems medicine. And then, obviously, the practical application of that knowledge into the human body from the standpoint of osteopathic medicine.

“They didn’t teach me to palpate properly. I didn’t learn how to find and track the nerve. And they didn’t teach me to consider that there might be silent inflammation in the nervous system. The patient doesn’t even realize they’re on fire deep inside their tissues.”

You could find trigger points, and it’s an interesting inflamed area, and work on that. We’ll use our mechanical techniques, massage, manipulative adjustments, and cranial work to get the flow back into the human body and remove the obstacles to cure.

But we are talking about a clinically specific patient assessment, where you are learning to palpate in a way that even the best training school in the world for osteopathy doesn’t have.

We’re doing surgery without knives as osteopaths anyway. But this is taking it to the next level and tracking things back so that you can get to the level of causation and then intervene with a device and therapy that has immediate results.

How can a healthcare practitioner recognize silent inflammation? How would you explain what it is and what’s causing it?

The thing is, patients are coming into the clinic, and they say they’re tired, their guts don’t work, and their muscles ache.

And we think that’s normal because we wake up like that every day.

Right. As a human race right now, in the first world, most people are walking around in a suboptimal state. They don’t even know what’s happening.

“People come into the clinics with ailments like shoulder pain. But then, when you question them, they’ve also got gut problems because the liver and the shoulder are connected.”

So they think they’ve got a shoulder problem, but it’s more than that. We now have poly systemic illnesses. From the musculoskeletal perspective, that’s a warning sign that something’s wrong.

That might not be silent inflammation because it could be a frozen shoulder that’s massively inflamed. So it’s prominent inflammation in terms of pain and restriction of movement. It’s a sign that there’s trouble in the body.

It’s not just always a result of an injury. We might have had the injury ten years ago, and it already caused the damage. It’s only many years later that you see the full effects of the injury because the body hasn’t been able to clear it properly. There was a blockage to the complete healing process.

What’s causing silent inflammation?

Poor dietary choices and lifestyle to a certain extent because of the oxidative stress present. We have a situation where different stresses bombard the body. The oxidative stress and free radicals that come about because of that stress cause damage to the body’s physiology. And then the anatomy and structure are affected because we need more resources to stay well.

So silent inflammation can be in your body for many years before you can see any symptoms?

Yes. And it can come about because of an emotional shock. It’s not just that you’ve had a fall or a car crash. These processes can occur because of what’s going on in our emotional aspect. We could be in grief and end up in a situation where there’s trouble in the body because we never process losing a loved one.

It gets fascinating. You can only partially assess the patient and understand what’s at work. The human body’s tendency to be well is ever-present.

We’re always looking to be perfect. The body is always going to repair itself. If you cut yourself and look back a few weeks later, it will heal and should be healed. If healing doesn’t occur in the body, it’s because there’s an obstacle to cure.

Before ANF, we would look for obstacles in the energy field close to the body. Or we would look for the obstruction in the body’s structure, and we would look to promote blood flow. We look to provide resources from the standpoint of good nutrition and hydration. And telling people how to live well, have fun, and not be too serious because people can take it to the extreme.

But the thing is, you need to remove the obstacle to cure entirely to get complete healing. The body will compensate, and there’ll be a compensatory adjustment. The body will reach a point where if recovery needs to happen, it’ll be put on the back burner because the resources required to recover in that area can’t be utilized there forever. And so the body will ignore that problem area and use the resources for other things. That’s how we end up with a chronic problem with inflammation and damage that progresses insidiously. It’s fascinating.

So if you don’t locate and address the root cause, all our symptoms will reappear?

They will reappear, but you might not even have symptoms. You might not even know that these degenerative processes are going on in the body until you get the complete collapse.

Is it too late then, or not? Does it depend on the case?

Yes, exactly. There’s always hope. You need to find yourself in the hands of a practitioner who understands what to do.

I’m asking because many might wonder if it is too late for them if they have this silent inflammation. They might be wondering, “Can I be healed?”

There’s always hope if you make the right lifestyle choices first. You have a responsibility as a human being to make sure that you’re not destroying yourself with the choices that you make on a day-to-day basis. It would be best if you made sure that, as much as possible, you are spiritually content and emotionally in a good place because that’s massive. How many people are going to jobs that they hate? They get in the car every morning, tired, and go and work in a job they hate. They sit with people that they don’t get on very well. Then they come home, open a bottle of wine, switch the television on, and hypnotize themselves with the TV, and then they go to sleep and do the same thing the next day.

Tell us about a case scenario that took you a long time to obtain the desired results, but you could do it faster with ANF.

We’re an osteopathic clinic, and patients often come in with low back pain and sciatic issues. Some of those can go very deep where you’ve got disc herniation and massive inflammation. Whether it’s acute or chronic, there are significant factors at work. There may be pain radiating down into the leg because the nerves are affected. It’s very obvious to the patient when that’s happening.

We see a lot of patients with a lot of inflammation over the pelvis and the lower back. It’s straightforward to palpate for those. And using ANF Therapy, you can immediately get results when you apply the devices on patients with that kind of pain syndrome, whether it’s acute or chronic. They’ll see an increased ability to move pain-free.

It’s impressive when you lie the patient down, palpate properly, and get into the nerves. You find the nerves that are angry and inflamed. When there’s a fire going on in the nervous system, and you place ANF devices, that patient knows exactly how painful it was when you press the nerve the first time. And then you press the nerve the next time after the disc has had a chance to work. They drink a little bit of water, and then we leave them on for a few minutes. If it’s not seconds, it’s minutes. And then you press back in there and ask them how it feels.

We expect a 50% or more improvement. That’s the minimum because if you don’t have that, you’ve got the wrong therapy device, and we didn’t get to the root cause of the issue. And the patient, at that point, will say, you’re not pressing as hard as you did before. And then you lean into it to show them, and they feel the pressure, but there’s no pain. So yes, if we are working with pain patterns in and around the lower back, that would be the second most helpful aspect regarding the condition. But the first one, hands-down, it’s a frozen shoulder.

How many treatment sessions does it take to address the pain?

It depends. A person might have cut the grass and ripped the tissue in their back because they had started the lawn mower badly. Other times, the back problem has come on slowly. It just depends. It’s impossible to say how many sessions.

We get excellent results without ANF. We’re a busy clinic. We’ve got great results, and we’ve never done any marketing. Everyone comes because of word of mouth. I was happy with my results until chance showed me that ANF existed. When I went and sat with Dr. Mikel, I spoke with him. I immediately understood that he was a master in understanding frequencies and how they affect the human body.

I was thrilled with my results. I didn’t know there was more. I didn’t know there was this possibility of instantly affecting the living tissues and nerves. I can take control of the human nervous system and then direct resources for healing into an area and how you can work with the blood flow and the lymphatic components. I had no idea there was that possibility.

Even though we have all sorts of other modalities that have that effect, this is unique. The way on the continuum of the medical model, it takes a vast central space. That’s my understanding of it. We still need to do other things, but

“ANF has a massive role in the future of medicine without drugs and surgery without knives.”

How do your patients usually react to ANF?

If they don’t know what ANF is, the first thing that happens is when you start to explain it. They’re skeptical. And it’s natural. That surprises me because if they’re coming to me, we use tuning forks and all sorts of things. We are out there.

But we are used to machines. We are not used to something small and powerful.

Yes. There’s that skeptical aspect initially. And then, when you evaluate correctly, your patients can feel the pain. You have to tell them it will hurt because you will try to identify the problem precisely. Once you’ve determined how to place the ANF device to interrupt the inflammation, if it’s there, and then for the signals to start returning to normal.

Once they’ve understood that you are being very specific with how you’re going to use the devices and when you demonstrate the before and after results, they can move.

Do you mean when you place it and then when you remove it?

No, when you place it, and then you palpate. If you go back into that nerve that was very painful or the very painful tissue, they feel a massive change that is more or less instant. Then they might be able to move, in the case of a shoulder, and suddenly have more natural movement without pain. The reaction that you have in the patient is one of surprise. And when they go away for a few days, and they start to realize that they’re healing, then comes the belief. And then the friends start coming because they start to tell their friends. I had this terrible problem, and I went there, and they used these ANF frequency devices, and I’m better.

We’ve been working principally with the minor orthopedic issues to get to a point where we mastered what to do in those situations. But there’s so much more scope for working with integrated medicine. Where you are looking at systems medicine in terms of how you can interrupt that silent inflammation, reset it back to normal, and provide resources for healing.

And that’s what I’m most excited about because my patients come to me with poly systemic problems. We’re seeing the intense stuff and the autoimmune issues. We’re a little bit like the last chance saloon because these patients typically have been everywhere.

They’ve tried everything. They’ve sometimes wasted a lot of money on things that never worked. They’re just desperate for healing. We were getting great results with those patients anyway. Still, we had it changing everything to discover ANF and see how it fits so beautifully into that existing model.

What would you say to those who have never heard of ANF Therapy® or haven’t started their education yet?

Practitioners? You’re in for an exciting ride. If you don’t know about ANF, as I didn’t, if you have yet to see the possibilities that come through ANF, you need to check it out at least to see where it could fit into your practice. Because we’re all different, we don’t do sports, but some practitioners, all they do is sports, and there’s a massive place for ANF Therapy® in that field.

“Whatever you are doing as a practitioner right now, ANF can only enhance what you are doing.”

Once you understand the principles, they will seamlessly fit into your work. You will get shaken up so badly as it relates to your understanding of the human body, how to paint the human body, assess where the trouble is, identify the root cause, and then fix it forever.

If that’s the bag you are into, if that’s what you want, if you want excellence, you want to be using ANF. Suppose you come and study this therapy, and you apply the therapy alongside whatever else you are. In that case, you will excel in your medicine and never have a lack of patients because you can’t stop word from getting out in your community. And if you want to lift yourself above the other practitioners doing their flat-world medicine, this is for you.

Thank you, Geoff.
